I want to thank you for hanging in as I slowly and painfully went through the days of this challenge. Although I skipped several days, opting to use topics I could most relate to, this post contains the condensed versions of the final 4 days, bringing my total posts in this challenge to 15. Although some of them have been fun to reminisce and write about, I am glad that this is the end so that I can move on to trying out some new ideas I’ve been tossing around my big ole empty head. I may eventually share them with you. If you send me pictures of yourselves in various stages of undress.
To read all the other posts in this challenge, read here and then backtrack. If you want.
Day 26: Things I Like and Dislike about Myself
1. I have big ears.

2. I swear too much.
3. I can be impatient and very…blunt…yeah…that’s the right word.
I could actually go on for awhile on this darker side of the coin but I digress. I want to get this challenge finished by the end of 2013. (Oops…fucked that one up, didn’t I).
1. My eyes. I think they are my best physical trait and I’ve mastered how to use them to get what I want. Shameful, really.
2. I have several talents aside from the ability to suck a tennis ball through a garden hose. I can, apparently, still attract a man half my age as well but I’m not sure if that’s a talent or that I’m just really really lucky that I can still turn a man’s (and the odd time, a woman’s as well) head after everything I’ve put my body through over the last 49 years. I can write poetry and song lyrics, as well as thrillers and erotica. I can also fix a car, as well as race one at the 1/4 mile drags. I also raised 3 great kids. There’s more, but let’s just agree that I’m fucking awesome and move on.
3. I am intimidating and scare the crap out of people. For real. And yes, that takes talent.

Day 28: Somewhere I’d like to Move to or Visit
Although there are MANY places that I would love to visit one day (Australia, Jamaica and Hawaii to name a few), but only one place that my mind wanders to each time I think about how I’d like to spend my later years in life.

Tahiti is the largest island in the Windward group of French Polynesia (an overseas country of the French Republic), located in the archipelago of the Society Islands in the southern Pacific Ocean. It is the economic, cultural and political center of French Polynesia. The island was formed from volcanic activity and is high and mountainous with surrounding coral reefs.
With white sandy beaches, blue skies and comfortable year-round temperatures, who wouldn’t want to live in this island paradise? The water is SO clear that boats look like they are floating on air.
Unfortunately, the trip itself is really expensive and my chances of ever seeing it in person are slim. I’ll have to settle with a UV lamp and my imagination.
Day 30: One Thing I’m Excited For
Not that it’s going to happen anytime soon, I am excited about the idea of having a grandbaby. I don’t remember the last time I held a newborn (probably when I had my own) and I want one to spoil rotten. I’m going to be THE coolest grandma ever!

Well, it may have taken me forever but the 30-Day Challenge has finally come to an end. I have decided to hang up my pen and stop writing. For months and months I have struggled with my lack of desire to desire and I have finally come to the conclusion that “Write and Novel” was an item on my bucket list, and now that I’ve accomplished that, the desire has waned. I’m not sorry. I proved to myself that I was able to do it and it was a great experience. I might come back to it one day, but for now I am moving on to other challenges.
It might take some time to renovate but I promise I will be back and better than ever. I hope you will decide to stick around while I make the transformation because whatever I decide to focus on, it won’t be the same without you.
